Collegiate DECA Competitive Events

Connecting the Classroom to the Boardroom

Have you considered what it takes to move from success in the classroom to success in the real world? Collegiate DECA programs involve active participation from business and industry professionals while incorporating experiential learning and providing applications for use in the classroom. Competitive events are one of the many benefits Collegiate DECA offers.

Collegiate DECA programs and competitions are clustered around six (6) academic areas:

Career Cluster

  • Business Management & Administration
  • Communications & Technology
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Finance & Accounting
  • Hospitality & Tourism
  • Marketing & Sales

Competitive Events allow students to put their experience, skills and knowledge to the test while representing their college/university. Compete for top international honors in one of 20 different competitions.

Collegiate DECA competitive events recognize student achievement, provide opportunities for traveling to conferences and networking with peers. The Collegiate DECA competitive events program is recognized for helping prepare students for their professional careers–in all events students are judged by business and industry professionals.
